Details of the PlayStation 5 have already been scrutinized. Pictures of the dev kit have already started circulating along with horrible design assumptions and useless criticisms. The excitement is building, and Sony has been releasing details in their own way. Where the hell is Project Scarlett’s dev kit?
The answer?
No one really has one.
hardly anyone has them, and they’re nowhere near final. That’s why you’re hearing a lot of nonsense about them not being powerful etc. Microsoft wants to surprise Sony this time

Compared to Sony, Microsoft has been tight-lipped, which may or may not work in their favor in the next battle of console consumption. However, for those predicting console “success” based on power, you’ll most likely end up juggling analogous details. Yes, we’re going to see more power and more capabilities in next-gen. We’re excited about the performance details and the load times. We’re excited to see how the two consoles will compare to the power of the almighty PC.
Those details mean nothing. Content does. Exclusivity does. Multiplayer accessibility does.
With next-gen releases still a year away, predictions should never hold too much weight, especially when people are already assuming that the PlayStation 5’s final design will be mimicking its clunky dev kit.
