In an explosive turn of events, Optic Gaming has decided to drop Jordan “JKap” Kaplan from it’ s pro roster. In MLG Columbus, Optic finished in a top 16 placement which left many fans perplexed as the powerhouse team fell beneath the strengths of other rising rosters. Whispers of a roster change were inevitable, but JKap’s sudden drop seems to have shocked many, especially considering he had only been active for a few months. With the addition of a new coach, several fans were waiting to see how this inclusion would shift the dynamic of the team.
So as you all know, @OpTic_JKap was released from the @OpTicGaming roster. We’ll be looking for a new teammate in the upcoming days.

Call of Duty: Ghosts seems to have welcomed in a new charge for teams that may have struggled up the ranks in Black Ops 2. It will be interesting to see how Optic faces these changes in light of JKap’s departure. The roster consisting of Will “BigTymer” Johnson, Seth “Scump” Abner, and Matt “Nadeshot” Haag is now looking for a 4th to replace JKap as they continue into the 2014 season.
In the meantime, JKap has now officially become a free agent. It is currently unknown who will join the Optic squad.
