Ciri is back and she is looking seasoned in the brand new The Witcher 4 reveal trailer.

In the 6-minute long trailer revealed at The Game Awards 2024, it highlights a grown Ciri as a full-fledged Witcher—mutations and all—as she takes on “a fearsome monster called the Bauk” in a way that just screams, “Yeah, I was trained by Geralt and it shows.” Not much else—including the release date—has been revealed at the time of this writing, but others suspect that it won’t be until 2026 or later. While Geralt isn’t the familiar protagonist in the new title, it has been implied that his character is still involved in some way.

There are no gods here. There are only monsters.

Ciri quickly became my favorite character, and I enjoyed her development in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. To be able to play in her shoes on a full-time basis is something I’ve been waiting a long time for! Many call Ciri the “OP Witcher” because of the add-on of her own unique abilities, and I’m curious to see how her story progresses.
