Baldur’s Gate 3 has been a GOTY contender right out-of-the-box, but Xbox players have been forced to wait on an official release. The highly acclaimed RPG by Larian Studios has been making waves as it continues to hook PS5 and PC players, and reviews have been astounding. With one of the best RPG titles of 2023, it’s understandable that Xbox players would feel a bit left out, but rest assured, the game is still expected to arrive in 2023.
IGN Executive Editor Ryan McCaffery kickstarted the conversation, stating, “I wonder if Baldur’s Gate 3 is going to make it out for Xbox this year, as previously stated. I have no doubt that Larian Studios is hard at work on it, and they’re not going to rush it, but Q4 is almost 1/3 over already and we haven’t heard a peep!”
Larian Studios’ Director of Publishing, Michael Douse, simply replied: “It is.”

With two months left until the end of the year, radio silence shouldn’t be a concern for those waiting on a release date. So for those looking to consume tadpoles, flirt with party members, talk to animals, and slay mindflayers, the wait will be worth it, I promise.
